Myths, Legends, and Ancient Mysteries

I love myths, legends, and ancient history mysteries.  I have to say that it was really hard for me to choose a favorite but I think I'm going to go with one that I never get tired of hearing.

The legend of the Loch Ness Monster
(or Nessie for those who love her)

There have been sightings of the Loch Ness Monster for over 1,500 years, with the most recent one being just a few months ago.  She may be real and she may not, but I just love reading about her. Click on Nessie's picture to learn a little bit about her history.

What is your favorite myth, legend, or history mystery?
Is it a famous legendary monster?
Or do you prefer something historical like the statues on Easter Island or the terracotta warriors?
Maybe you prefer historical mysteries and want to know if Amelia Earhart was really a spy?

Whatever you choose, I would love to hear about it. Add a link so I can read about it too!
